Soko Hardware has been operated by four generations of the Ashizawa family. The pagoda, designed by Japanese architect Yoshiro Taniguchi, was given to Japantown by the people of Osaka, San Francisco's sister city in Japan. Although the mall is a little dim, with moderate decorations and non modern design, I still love the stores in Kintetsu Mall because many of them design their storefront beautifully and culturally to match the Japanese culture. I love this store!!!
